Eine begehbare Videoinstallation und künstlerische Erkundungsarbeit: Die neue umfangreiche Arbeit von Aernout Mik "Speaking in Tongues" hat im HKW Premiere. Der niederländische Videokünstler macht Erscheinungsformen neuer transnationaler religiöser Bewegungen erfahrbar. Die Multikanal-Installation überführt Aufnahmen religiöser Gemeinden in Südamerika und Afrika in inszenierte Kollektivrituale der Geschäftswelt. Neben dem als Kongresshalle erbauten Haus, das den Performances den Rahmen gibt, und über 200 Statisten spielen Lars Eidinger (bekannt u.a. aus "Alle Anderen" von Maren Ade) und Burkhart Klaußner ("Das weiße Band" von Michael Haneke) eine entscheidende Rolle.Weiterlesen
The second workshop of the project „Global Prayers — Redemption and Liberation in the City“ took place at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin from July 11th to 17th. The workshop gathered, for the first time, grantholders, associated researchers, artists and cooperation partners of Global Prayers. The main objective of this non-public workshop was to discuss the overall research questions, approaches, methods and forms of cooperation of the project.
